How do you view civilization? This is a good deal of your worldview.
Everywhere in the world we read that human ancestry began in Africa and eventually civilization developed in the middle east. Why the supposed half-ape/half-man creatures decided to migrate north after their rise to "divinity" in the heart of Africa is a mystery. Maybe when they started losing hair, Africa became too hot for them?! Absurd.
Bill Mauer made a movie in 2008 called "Religulous" where he made fun of all religions, including Christianity. He said at one point, "Doesn't it bother you that over half of Americans believe in a story about a talking snake?" referring to the temptation of Eve in the Garden of Eden. It is sad how blind unbelievers are in their arrogance. To them this sounds absurd. But the fact that even birds are able to mimic human speech should make it easy to believe that in the beginning God obviously gave that same capacity to the serpent. And yet he doesn't seem to find it absurd that monkeys transformed themselves into humans! Wow!!! Someone needs to make a movie called, "Evoludicrous!"
Civilization does not move upward at all regarding the overall functionality of humanity. We think from Evolution that humanity is always getting stronger and taller and smarter and better. This is one of the greatest delusions of our modern world!! The truth is, in every way we are getting worse, except in the accumulation of knowledge. We have developed computer technology and space technology only because we have stood on the shoulders of those who have gone before us. We have learned to translate our languages so we can understand each other and work together in the world to develop technology. But this is only because God has brought a great deal of peace through the preaching of the Gospel in the last couple hundred years. Before this, the accumulation and dissemination of knowledge was not so rapidly increasing. And besides this, did you know that men were bigger, stronger, and smarter in the past?!!!
